There was quite a crowd on hand for the unveiling of "Through the Years...A Pictorial History of Sikeston, Mo."  The book contains over 640 photographs plus stories spanning the history of Sikeston from 1860 to 2009.  The book is on sale ONLY at the Depot Museum  for $35.



                                                                                                                                                                                       Our annual Regional High School Student Art Show is always a highlight. The show runs during January and February.  On average, 11 area high schools bring in over 160 pieces of art work ranging from painting to this oversized basketball shoe.


                                                                                                                                                                                 The downtown Sikeston Farmers' Market runs from June through October in Legion Square Park adjacent to the Depot Museum.  It's a wonderful place to pick up fresh vegetables, homemade foods, and even here a little music.


                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

                                                                                                                                                                                                  The Battle of Sand Ridge Civil War reenactment is held every year in March. Here, "Union soldiers" view a special Black History Month exhibit dedicated to African-American contributions in the Civil War.

                                                                                                                                                                                      The Depot's Book Lecture series gives authors the opportuny meet the readers and discuss their books with their readers. The book lectures are limited to regional authors or books dealing with regional subject matter such as this work about Sikeston's Reiss' Dairy. A variety of these book are currently on sale in the Depot's gift shop.

                                                                                                                                                                                Special displays and exhibits are continually coming into the Depot. Here, a group of school children and their teachers enjoy the mechanical banks that were part of the "Winter Wonderland" display during the 2010 Christmas season.
