"A FAMILY NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM'

                   
     The Sikeston Depot Museum is proud to announce its newest community program…”A Family Night at the Museum”. Every other month the Museum will be hosting a special themed program that will include activities, history, story-telling and music.

     “Family Night” is free and open to all.  As the name suggests, family fun and activities are the goal. All children must be escorted by their parent or guardian.

      The “Family Night” calendar is as follows:

 OCTOBER:

    Pumpkin Carving, the history of Jack O’Lanterns, the history of All Saints Day, and more. 

 
DECEMBER:

    “Santa at the Depot” will be expanded to include a Christmas Carol sing-along, a look at world-wide Christmas traditions, and expanded Christmas story readings. 

 
FEBRUARY:

    A night of star gazing, both inside and outside the museum.  

 
APRIL:

      “Gone Fishing”. Local fishermen will be putting on a display of casting and historical fishing equipment. There will be “Fish Art” as well as fishing and safety tips.  

 
JUNE:

    Acting workshop held at the Sikeston Little Theatre. Meet at the Theatre for a short lesson on stage directions, makeup, stage speaking, and the history of theatre.
